    This idea is very broad. While some ideas have not yet been addressed, many of the suggestions provided in the comments have been implemented!

  2. finish the subevents implementation

    I want to be able to break events into several sub-events (shifts, for example) that users can sign up for.

  3. Automatic age restrictions for events

    Allow the sytem to detect age by entering their birthday in the user form. Then allow an event to be set with an age restrictions instead of using the user group feature with reservations.

  5. Create a permission for Volunteer Group Leaders to be able to see who has signed up for their events?

    Currently we have to print a report for our group leaders multiple times before their event to give them an update of who has signed up. Very time consuming.     We are planning a solution for this. However, it cannot be developed in the current interface due to restrictions within the code. Our team is currently designing a new administrative interface that will allow more flexibility for features like this, but we cannot provide timelines at this time. Once the interface is closer to being complete, we will start to notify customers.

    I would love to have the ability to send out automated birthday messages to our volunteers via email.

  8. allow import of events from a spreadsheet

    To start up with volunteer hub, we just had to enter 50 events. We exported them into a spreadsheet from Outlook expecting to be able to import them and then make modifications but instead ended up creating each event individually.

  9. Allow Volunteers to add notes/comment to a volunteer sign up slot.

    It would be great if there was an option for volunteers to add a comment to a slot they are signing up for. For instance, if the slot is from 11am - 1pm but the volunteer can only come from 12 noon - 1pm, allowing them to add a note/comment to that effect would be very helpful to everyone! They may also have a question that they can post and the administrator could get back to them (ie: can I bring my child?)

  11. Allow volunteers the ability to see who else has signed up for a task.

    A calendar view so that volunteers can see who else has signed up for a task.

    There are situations where some volunteers do not want to work with others, or the fact that some volunteers like to work with certain individuals, the ability to see who has signed up for a task.

  12. Allow the ability to add primary contact information when making a group reservation.

    In order to make a group reservation we have to go to "Registered User" and add a particular group. However, we are unable to designate someone as the group's primary contact. It would be helpful to also capture the contact's name, phone number, and email address without navigating away from this page. This person should be flagged as the primary contact vs. blending in with other registered users in this group. Right now we have to keep track of all of the bookings and primary contact information in a separate database.

  13. Allow volunteers to sign in and out more than once a day serving different events

    I have a number of volunteers who serve in multiple roles, for example mentoring and also teaching. If they do two different events the same day, they cannot sign in for the second event of the day.

  14. option for user/admin to disable email notifications

    We have confirmation and reminder emails set up for each of our shifts. However, we have been getting requests from some of our 500+ volunteers to disable the email notification option for them. Most of our volunteers don't mind but for those who are working 6-10 shifts per week, it can become overwhelming. We would like an option that would allow us to disable email notifications for specific volunteers.

  15. More Intelligent Deduplicate Feature

    Presently, it seems the only algorithm for detecting duplicates is First Letter/First Name + Same Last Name (e.g. Abigail G Adams and Andrew W Adams are considered duplicates when their names/all contact info are completely different).

    This results in many unnecessary "duplicates" admins have to sift through.

  17. Allow parents to create a family account for easy registration, sign up and check in.

    The idea would be to allow families to register with names of each family member, sign up for a shift, and check in under one account. I get feedback from families on how time consuming it is to fill out all the same information during registration, along with logging in and out to schedule themselves and their children. We don't use the guest feature as the kids (guests) usually need their hours tracked.

  20. Add Folders to the Masters Tab

    We have several pages of Masters since we host several events through our VH site. Is there a way to create folders so we can clean up and locate a specific Masters copy for a specific Event Group quickly?
